Dr. Jay Akef

Dr. Akef has been providing patients with the best quality of periodontic and implant care for more than 30 years. In1989, he graduated from Loyola University of Chicago's Dental School with honors in periodontics. Dr. Akef practiced in Los Angeles for a while, where he also taught at both UCS and UCLA.  In 1994 he then moved to San Diego and opened his dental office and has since earned the reputation as one of the best periodontists - surgical gum treatment and implant specialists. He has performed over 30,000 dental implant and periodontal treatments to correct gummy smiles and treat periodontal disease. With over 30 years in the field of dentistry, Dr. Akef has acquired advanced skills in treating the most complex cases of periodontal disease including dental implants and other surgical procedures.
